Feral Cat Fridays: Sibling Rivalry?

Tending a feral cat colony takes time and effort, but it has its rewards. One of the benefits is the chance to observe interactions between colony members. The colony is a constant drama of friendships, power struggles, and games. This interchange between littermates Softie and Light Darryl had a little of all three, but I think Softie was more into the battle than was Light Darryl.

How’d you like a kick in the ear, Darryl?
Maybe a bop on the nose is preferable?
How ’bout that, Darryl?
Pay attention, Darryl. This is important!
I dare you to come back!
Come on back, Darryl! I wasn’t through! Pretty please?

There’s nothing so frustrating as an opponent who won’t fight! I think Darryl would do very well on social media; no baiting him.

On the other hand, being in Houston, it’s impossible not to see Tony Buzbee and Rusty Hardin in this pair as they square off to fight the Deshaun Watson battle. If I had to assign identities, I’d say Darryl is Hardin, and one of these minutes he’s going to be back, taking a memorable swat at Softie.

Darryl took a poke or two in that fight but he wasn’t into it like Softie. Both Darryls were calm, quiet guys and tended to go about their business with minimal fanfare. But if they were pushed far enough they’d take the appropriate steps. The Deshaun Watson battle hasn’t received a lot of coverage here, but from what I’ve seen I think your analogy may be correct.
